Activities within lessons are differentiated to address the wide ranging ability of our pupils. Different learning styles are supported by a range of teaching methods and strategies designed to develop understanding of scientific language and concepts.

Pupils learn that many of the great scientists struggled with their literacy skills during their school careers. Pupils are taught to use and apply their understanding of key scientific ideas either on their own or in collaboration with others. They are also provided with varying degrees of support when carrying out investigative work.
