11 O F's, 11 staff (mostlyformer staff) and one parentturned up for the reunion last week. We all had a good time in the new library after which we adjourned to the White Swan!We had several apologies from people such as James Krieger and Alex Fenichel who were swotting hard for exams. Nick Finburgh who left in 1989 had an excellent reason for absence; he became a father (Cherry Veronica Finburgh 7.2 lbs) 2 days previously! Several OFs who are still at school (such as Max Edwards) had difficulty as they were not allowed home that particular weekend being the first one after half-term. Keep an eye on the website itwill be posted there as soon as possible.

Jackie Murray said, ‘Daphne Hamilton Fairley came back to school for the first meeting of the Old Fairleyans. Former teachers Isaac Romanov, Martha Mendes da Costa and Caroline Lillywhite were there, as well as Nick Rees former Principal of Fairley House Upper School. There were students who left as long ago as 1989 and a contingent of Year 9s now at St Christophers, Letchworth. It was wonderful to hear of the successful careers the adult Old Fairleyans have embarked upon in law, property and IT. We look forward to an even bigger event next year and lots more contact with our alumni'.
