The therapy team gave a talk on Dyspraxia on Wednesday 5th May. The talk explained that dyspraxia can involve movement (motor dyspraxia, speech (oro-motor dyspraxia) or language (verbal dyspraxia).
The talk featured video clips featuring our Occupational Therapists (OTs) working with children which gave us all real insight into the difficulties the children face and WHY the OTs do particular activities. We learned that tasks have to be slowed down, broken down and then put back together. The talk was well attended by current parents, prospective parents, professionals from other schools, our OCR students and all the staff.
