A whole school approach to dyslexia and dyspraxia

Fairley House was founded in 1982 for children aged 6-12 by Daphne Hamilton Fairley, a speech and language therapist.

She set up the school with the intention of integrating education with therapies (speech and language, occupational) normally only obtainable through the health service. This integration is one of the many things that sets us apart as a specialist day school for children with dyslexia and dyspraxia.

We emphasise the development of the whole child, helping him or her to gain confidence and self-esteem through an encouraging and nurturing ethos. The children have plenty of opportunities to develop sound academic and social skills and to become independent.

At Fairley House, everyone succeeds.
