Fairley House School provides a haven in central London where children can get the specialist teaching and therapy they need to unlock the doors to literacy. We want to contribute to creating a society where the needs of children with dyslexia or dyspraxia are recognised, understood and met. In 2012, we will launch a fundraising campaign to raise £3 million to convert a new building into classrooms, therapy space and an assessment centre to enable us to help more children facing these difficulties.
Please support us by decorating postcards for us to sell in our exhibition of postcard-sized art. The exhibition will take place in April 2012 and will form part of our 30th anniversary celebrations and fundraising efforts.
We welcome all kinds of designs in any media. The identity of each postcard artist will remain a mistiko (Greek for ‘secret’) until after their postcard has been purchased.
All artwork will be available to view online at www.fairleyhouse.org.uk 10 days before the event.
You are warmly invited to attend the preview show which will be held at Fairley House School, 218-220 Lambeth Road, London SE1 7JY on Friday 20th April 2012 from 5-8pm.
The postcard sale will take place at the same venue on Saturday 21st April 2012 from 11-4pm.
We do hope you will support us in our efforts. If you would like us to send you postcards to design, please email us at building-the-future@fairleyhouse.org.uk or telephone 0207 976 5456.
Many thanks,
Sonia Aboagye
